Mortality/Fertility Relationships in the Dominican Republic

John A. Ballweg, PhD and Donald W. MacCorquodale, MD

Department of Sociology, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Blacksburg, Virginia 24061, USA

Prolonged breast feeding did not appear to explain differences. A number of sociodemographic differences were evident between the two categories.
