Antibodies to Toxocara were detected in 11 (17 per cent) subjects less than 15 years old and three (4 per cent) subjects more than 15 years of age using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. None of the controls sera (other helminthic diseases) were positive for anti-Toxocara antibody.
