Analysis of data from the Shiraz (han) growth study requires to take age into account when assessing weight-for-height of school children aged 612. A unified structure standard score method is used to constru age-related weight-for-height. Weight-for-height charts were drawn for each age-sex category of children. These charts suggest that local weight-for-height standards should be used in clinical work.
