Campaign Against Tuberculosis in Primary School Children in Bendel State, Nigeria (1975 to 1977)

A school vaccination programme against tuberculosis in Bendel State for 1975–1977 was analyzed from epidemiological records. Less than 15 per cent of all schools registered in the state were covered each year.

For an effective programme, an improvement in manpower, provision of adequate transport facilities and purchase of more refrigerators are essential.
